Spandrel glass is perfect for masking unsightly building features like
floor slabs, columns, & duct work. It's also an attractive choice for wall
cladding, office partitions, & more. Unlike vision glass which is meant to be transparent, spandrel glass is a non-vision application designed to be opaque in order to help obscure the spaces between the floors of a building, including insulation, vents, wires, slab ends, and mechanical equipment used as part of the construction.
Insulated glass consists of two or more glass window panes separated by a space to reduce heat transfer. A window with insulated glass is commonly known as double glazing or a double-paned window. Insulated glass units (IGU) are typically manufactured with glass in thickness from 3-10mm (1/8" - 3/8"). Thicker glass is used in special applications. Laminated or tempered glass may also be used as part of the construction. Most units are produced with the thickness of glass on both panes but special applications such as acoustic or security may require different thicknesses of glass to be incorporated in a unit.
When plans for your storefront, stairwell or shower doors calls for custom holes, notches, bevels, or miters, trust us to create the perfect customized, fabricated glass.
Monolithic glass is a single lite of glass formed from the float glass manufacturing process. It is simply a single piece of glass constructed using one glass thickness. We can produce monolithic glass using either the annealed, heat-strengthened or tempered glass fabrication method. Our TMCE double-bay tempering furnace produces high-quality flat glass from 1/8" to 3/4" thick, including all variations of "soft coat" low E glass, that rates up to six times stronger than comparable thicknesses of annealed glass. And you'll never have to compromise on quality or clarity. Our carefully calibrated machines and detail-oriented operators help to ensure that your glass is free from waves and similar distortions common is lesser quality tempered glass products.
